December 2022

• Informal Faculty Poll. An informal poll of EKU faculty resulted in a majority of faculty noting interst in changing LMS.

January 2023

• Meeting with Academic Affairs, EKU Online, and EKU IT to discuss LMS future.

March 2023

• Identify and select representative group of LMS stakeholders to form the LMS Selection Working Group.
• Initial Working Group Meeting. First meeting of working group to begin development of RFP and discuss university forum

April 2023

• University LMS Needs Forums. Open EKU Community Forum to Discuss LMS Needs and Goals (in-person and Zoom).

May 2023

• RFP Finalization. Work with EKU purchasing and the results of the Working Group and Forums to finalize development of LMS RFP.  (Completed early)

June 2023

• RFP Release. Work with EKU Purchasing to release the LMS RFP. (Completed early)

August 2023

• RFP END/REVIEWS. RFP Closes--Working Group reviews proposals and determines finalists by end of September 2023. (Completed early)

September - October 2023

• Finalist Demos/Sandboxes.  LMS Demonstrations by Finalists and Sandbox Trials--Community Survey at end of month.

November 2023

• Survey Analysis/Working Group Deliberations.  Discussion of Products and EKU Community Survey Data.

December 2023

• Vendor Negotiations/Contract. After selection is made, work with EKU Purchasing for final contract negotiations and finalization.

January 2024 - June 2025

• Conversion Process.  18 Month Conversion Process-EKU Online-Either to Ultra Course View or New LMS.  Potential overlap if new LMS is selected. January 2024-June 2025
• Current Blackboard Contract Ends-30 June 2025

July 1, 2025

• Begin new LMS contract - 1 July 2025
